FAQ
Booking & Availability
How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 6–12 months out. For elopements or weekday weddings, I can sometimes accommodate shorter notice, just reach out and let’s talk.
How do we reserve our date?
A signed contract and a 50% retainer officially lock in your date on my calendar.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes, a 50% non-refundable retainer is due when signing the contract to secure your date.
Packages & Pricing
What’s included in your wedding packages?
All packages include high-resolution edited images, an online gallery, print rights, and my guidance throughout the process. Every package is built to reflect your day, not restrict it.
Do you offer custom packages or elopement coverage?
Absolutely. I specialize in elopements and smaller weddings and can tailor coverage to fit your plans.
Are travel fees included or separate?
Travel within a 20-mile radius of my home in Georgetown, TX is included. For anything beyond that, including much of Central Texas, I charge a simple travel fee based on distance—always communicated upfront so there are no surprises.
Your Style & Approach
How would you describe your photography style?
Candid, unforced, and emotionally grounded. My work is cinematic in feel, rooted in natural light, and focused on honest storytelling.
Do you direct couples during portraits?
Yes, gently. I’ll guide you with prompts so it never feels stiff or overly posed. The goal is to keep things real and relaxed.
Do you shoot film or digital?
Both. I shoot hybrid—blending digital and 35mm film to create a timeless, textured look that’s true to the moment.
Day-of Experience
Do you work with a second shooter?
Not always, but for larger weddings or when coverage requires it, I have trusted second shooters I can bring in.
What’s your approach to family photos?
Efficient and respectful. I’ll help you build a list beforehand so we can move through them quickly while keeping things warm and stress-free.
How do you handle low-light or bad weather situations?
Years in live production taught me to adapt quickly. I bring lighting gear just in case, and I’m always watching for opportunities—rain or shine.
Delivery & Post-Processing
How long until we receive our photos?
Weddings are delivered within 6–8 weeks. Elopements and smaller sessions typically land sooner.
How many images can we expect?
That depends on the hours of coverage, but most wedding galleries include 400–700 carefully edited images.
Will we get a print release?
Yes! You’ll receive high-resolution images with full personal print rights, plus access to a pro-quality print shop via your gallery.
Logistics & Communication
Can we meet before the wedding?
I’d love to. We can meet for coffee or hop on a Zoom call—whatever works best. Building trust before the big day is huge for me.
Do you help with timeline planning?
Yes! I’ve worked closely with couples to shape timelines that leave space for genuine moments and great light. I know where things often get rushed and how to build in breathing room. Whether you need full guidance or just a second set of eyes, I’m always happy to help.
What happens if you’re unavailable last minute?
If something truly unavoidable happens, you’ll have two options. We can reschedule (if possible), or I’ll tap into my trusted network of photographers. If someone steps in to shoot, I’ll still be the one editing and delivering your gallery.
